Twintage: Simplicity in a baseball diamond

Simplicity in a baseball diamond

Yesterday I asked Norah if she wanted to go on a hike. We have a trail near our house that's great to let little ones run around and discover wildlife. Right beside the trail are a few baseball diamonds. Something about the sand and the big surrounding field makes the perfect setting for a two-year-old. A place I wouldn't normally think to bring her to, but boy did she love it there because I couldn't drag her away. Apparently baseball diamonds are the bees knees. We never did make it for our hike, by the time she was done running around it was time to head home.

Our time at the baseball diamond reminded me that the simplest places can be fun for a child. Children have this way of showing us that there is beauty and adventure everywhere.
