Twintage: Oh Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas Tree

This post is a few weeks late but I wanted to share our trip to a local farm to pick out our tree. Our family tradition is to buy a real tree and whenever possible we like to go to a tree farm instead of just a grocery store or Home Depot and actually cut it down. We decided to visit  Benjamin Tree Farm, it was the same place we picked our tree from last year. In addition to trees, they have a gift shop and free apple cider & cookies. It was a freezing day but we took sometime to walk around & Kieran tried to make friends with a horse on a neighbouring farm. On the way home we picked up some egg nog (or as Kieran calls it Christmas milk) & some candy cane ice cream. We then listened to some Christmas carols and decorated the tree, after we finished the tree we all got cozy on the couch and watch Ruldolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's was lovely day and definitely one of my favourite Christmas tradition. Also a great way to start of the season.
